modebus It has been more than 20 years since the modebus toured Austria. The modebus was both a network and a vehicle - a former theater set transporter - created and operated by the designers and art mediators Eva Blut, Ursula Graf, Edwina Hörl, Ute Neuber and Nina Bernert, and an example of self-organized networking. modebus stands for a different approach to fashion practices. Its stations were in Vienna in front of the Orangerie Schönbrunn, in the Museumsquartier, on Magdalenenplatz near the left Wienzeile, in Salzburg on Residenzplatz and on the occasion of the Salzburg Summer Academy in Hallein in front of the old salt works and in Graz Stadtpark on the occasion of an invitation from Forum Stadtpark to the Styrian Autumn. From February 14 to July 12, 2020, the exhibition SHOW OFF.AUSTRIAN FASHIONDESIGN will take place at the MAK - a great journey through Austrian fashion design from the 1980s to the present day - where the modebus will also park virtually this time.
